Video shared on social media showed protesters in Iran gathered at the campus of Amirkabir University in Tehran on Wednesday. Additional footage appeared to show protests at Ferdowsi University in the city of Mashhad, and security forces reportedly dispersing demonstrators. Meanwhile, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi called the U.S. “the most despotic country and greatest dictatorship in the world,” while giving a speech to students at the University of Tehran to mark Student Day on Wednesday.
