Steve Kumka with the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, spoke on Wednesday morning as crews fought to extinguish a blaze inside a vacant, but secured, Manitoba Avenue home. Kumka said that this isn’t the first time crews have responded to a fire at this residence. He reported that there were no injuries during the operation and residents were evacuated from nearby homes out of precaution.
