A small plane that crashed into high-voltage power lines near Washington, D.C. was removed by a crane hours after both the pilot and passenger were rescued on Monday. “Both patients have been transported from the scene to local area trauma centres with serious injuries,” Montgomery County Fire Chief Scott Goldstein said in a press briefing.
