Thousands marched in Montreal as a show of solidarity with the ongoing protests in Iran. It was one of several such rallies across the country to also mark the anniversary of the regime’s bloody 2019 crackdown against gas price demonstrators. Some in Montreal say the current protests in Iran are a continuation of the ones in that country two years ago. Global’s Phil Carpenter has more.
