‘Schools are not uncontrolled environments’: Dr. Bonnie Henry on why masks are not mandatory

During a press conference on Wednesday, Global News reporter Richard Zussman asks health officials Dr. Bonnie Henry about respiratory illness spread in schools and why there is a reluctance to make masks mandatory. Dr. Henry says schools need to know when mandatory masking is appropriate and to pay attention to all of the pieces that make the school environment safe for children — like vaccinations, ventilation and good hand hygiene.
