Speaking during question period on Tuesday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre critiqued the Canadian government for upcoming carbon tax increases by saying that families do not have “chauffeurs” and are struggling to pay for transportation. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland responded by slamming Poilievre’s past comments on crypto investment, saying that people may have lost 60 per cent or “maybe all” of their money if they had listened to his advice.
