Federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos told reporters on Tuesday in Vancouver that premiers only want their health ministers to speak to federal officials about an “unconditional increase in the Canada Health Transfer” during funding talks. The “old way doesn’t work,” Duclos added, and things need to be done differently to ensure the survival of the publicly-funded health-care system.
