A sitting president and two former presidents making impassioned appeals to Americans just two days ahead of a crucial vote. Americans will be voting in midterm elections this week, 250,000,000 people are eligible to cast a ballot – the results will determine the makeup of the U.S. Congress and set the tone for the next two years of President Joe Biden’s presidency. Biden’s name is not on the ballot, but his party’s vision for America is. Biden’s approval rating has sunk since he was elected. Democrats say the Democracy is on the line with this election, Republicans say it’s all about the economy – Washington Bureau Chief Jackson Proskow has more on where things are headed with Tuesday’s election. Canadians always watch our neighbour closely of course and if these midterms result in the Democrats losing control of the House and the Senate there will almost certainly be an impact on Canada’s relationship with the U.S. Chief political correspondent David Akin has more from Ottawa.
