Saskatoon Fire Department Chief Morgan Hackl began the Sanctum Survivor Challenge for 36 hours on Thursday. Participants in the challenge must navigate the community support system as a person who deals with addictions, health and mental health needs as determined by a random profile. Hackl said he expects an different experience with the Sanctum Challenge taking place in colder weather.
