Former Winnipeg police chief Devon Clunis spoke on Wednesday about his involvement in developing a new strategy for public safety training. “People talk a lot about throwing it all away but we train our officers really well in Manitoba,” Clunis said. He added that while the province is going to continue to pursue a standard of excellence, the new training strategy will address the challenges facing society and the community.
