Government diplomats must ‘speak out on these abuses’ if attending 2022 FIFA World Cup: Human Rights Watch

Michael Page, the deputy director for Human Rights Watch in the Middle East and North Africa division, said in an interview with Global News that his organization wants government diplomats to speak out on various abuses being reported out of the FIFA World Cup. He said diplomats need to speak out on LGBTQ2 issues and migrant workers, who may be facing risks in Qatar.
