Some groups advocating for the preservation of Montreal’s Chinatown say they’re thrilled with a report on plans for the neighbourhood released Thursday. The city’s public consultation office is recommending that authorities go even further than original plans to preserve the area’s unique character. Global’s Phil Carpenter reports.
