U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and International Atomic Energy Agency director-general Rafael Grossi spoke Wednesday about ways to address nuclear perception and the still-present negative view by some of the public on nuclear. Granholm said there needs to be a “gold-standard regulatory regime,” steps countries should take to achieve nuclear aspirations and that proliferation and safety were also important.
