A West Island couple is digging in their heels, insisting they have a right to maintain their temporary car shelter beyond Halloween. The husband and wife say they need to keep the shelter up through the winter due to their mobility limitations. But car shelters in private driveways are against the law in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. As Global’s Tim Sargeant reports, the debate over the temporary car ports is split depending on where you live in Montreal’s West Island.
