Peterborough sees 8.2% drop in voter turnout in latest municipal election

Just 40.1 percent of registered voters made their way to the polls on election day. As political analysts begin to speculate the reason for low voter turnouts, newly-elected officials seek to find ways to restore the public’s faith in the democratic system.
