Speaking in Moscow on Monday, commander-in-charge of Russia’s nuclear, biological and chemical defence General Igor Kirillov claimed that Ukraine is plotting the detonation of a so-called “dirty bomb”. Separately, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that his country was “breaking down” the Russian army while U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price said that there would be consequences for Russia if it uses a so-called “dirty bomb” or any other nuclear weapon.
