Winnipeg police are investigating the scene of a fatal hit and run that occurred early Monday morning at the intersection of Notre Dame Avenue and Keewatin Street. Officers responded to reports of an injured pedestrian lying on the street. The suspect of the vehicle had fled the scene following the collision. The victim, a 56-year-old man from Winnipeg, was transported to a hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries. The Traffic Division is searching for a white or light coloured SUV.
