Vice Chief Aly Bear of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations spoke on Friday about the opening ceremony for the 27th annual Spirit of our Nations Cultural Celebration and Pow Wow taking place at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. This year the opening pow wow was led by youth. Chief Aly Bear said the choice to put youth first is an important step to strengthening Indigenous culture in the next generation.
