Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino paid tribute to B.C. RCMP officer Const. Shaelyn Yang who was fatally stabbed in the line of duty on Tuesday. Trudeau said they stood with her family, and will work to make communities safer, while Mendicino said in speaking with her colleagues he learned she was “a warrior” and that “had she not stood up with bravery and courage, more lives would have been lost.”
