Conservative Party of Canada Leader Pierre Poilievre accused the Trudeau Liberals of “promoting foreign oil interests” and causing Europe to depend on Russian oil amid the war in Ukraine, during Tuesday’s session of question period in the House of Commons. The leader of the Official Opposition also accused the feds of “blocking oil production in Canada.” To this, Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson responded Canada “augments” the production of oil and natural gas, and will be upping production to help Europe.
