Winnipeg fire crews responded to reports of a fire in the 500 block of Furby Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Friday morning. Crews encountered flames and smoke coming from the house. No injuries were reported, but the building is expected to be a total loss. The city’s Emergency Social Services team assisted 10 occupants in finding alternative accommodations. Two neighbouring properties were evacuated as as a precaution.
