Ottawa resident Victoria De La Ronde spoke Friday before the inquiry into the invocation of the Emergencies Act about the impact the “Freedom Convoy” had on her physical and mental health. She said there were “quite extensive” physical impacts, including loss of hearing and balance, “some vertigo” and feeling triggered by certain music and sounds of horns. She also said there was a “experience of helplessness especially during the event”, noting “continuous” horn blowing and fireworks.
