Country music icon Loretta Lynn has died at the age of 90. The Kentucky coal miner’s daughter had written songs about life and love as a woman in Appalachia that pulled her out of poverty, which made her a pillar of country music. A statement from her family said she died Tuesday at her home in Tennessee.
