In the North Okanagan, Splatsin First Nation hosted an event for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation which focused on recognizing and honouring residential school survivors. Work done by the community to identify Splatsin children taken to residential school has provided new insights and allowed survivors to be recognized in a much more personal way.
