We talk with grade 3 student Breighlynn MacEachern (Muninji’j) and her mom Shanika from Annapolis Valley First Nation about their new book Muinji’j Asks Why. The book is an educational and heartfelt retelling of the story of the Mi’kmaq, for young readers, focused on the generational traumas of the Indian Residential School System.
