As hurricane Fiona swept through the region many Nova Scotians lost access to cell service, landlines, and internet. The inability to access emergency services during a crisis can be a matter of life or death for some. There are now renewed calls for more to be done to ensure communication lines remain open during severe weather events. Alicia Draus reports.
