U.S. President Joe Biden warned oil companies on Wednesday not to use hurricane Ian as an “excuse” to raise gasoline prices, saying the “small temporary storm impact” on production prices is no reason to raise the cost. He added if oil companies do so, he would ask officials to look into whether gouging is occurring.
