Hurricane Ian hit western Cuba on Tuesday, leaving a trail of destruction, bringing down trees, and cutting power to hundreds of thousands of people as the Category 3 storm trekked across the island with maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometres per hour. Floridians were being warned as the projected path shows the hurricane is expected to directly hit the state of Florida.
