Manitoba’s Minister of Justice Kelvin Goertzen announced on Monday that existing correctional facilities will receive healing lodge support. Goertzen said the healing lodge will provide support for individuals through education, language acquisition, family re-unification, sobriety support and connection to help with re-integration into the community. He added “It’s all about ensuring individuals can get onto a different path when they leave the facilities.”
