New requirements for Interior Health medical lab staff raises questions

Worker shortages have been well documented in B.C. during the pandemic and now you don’t even need a high school diploma to work in a certain health care field. Interior Health is hiring phlebotomy technicians – people who draw blood specimens – to work in their labs. The only requirements are a grade ten education and a year of relevant experience.
