Global’s Jeff Semple spoke with the Assembly of First Nations Chief RoseAnne Archibald, who was part of Canada’s delegation at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, about her thoughts on attending the service. “We have a treaty relationship with the crown. That treaty relationship and our formal relationship with the crown pre-dates Canada by 220 years – before Canada was even a country,” Archibald said when asked about her initial hesitancy in attending the event. “We belong here,” she added.
