King Charles III’s surprise visit to those waiting to pay respects

In London, the queen’s eight grandchildren walked together in unison to stand vigil in Westminster Hall on Saturday. They stood silently around the queen’s coffin for 15 minutes. An extraordinary sight for people who had waited hours to pay their respects. In just under 48 hours the public viewing will end as final funeral preparations get underway at Westminster Abbey. It has been a cold couple of nights in London, especially for tens of thousands of people waiting for hours in long lines to spend mere moments at the queen’s coffin. As Crystal Goomansingh reports, that wait really paid off for some today who were treated to a surprise appearance of the new King.
