During the White House press briefing on Tuesday, U.S. Defense Department spokesperson John Kirby said that there is a “shift in momentum” by Ukrainian armed forces after a long-planned counter-offensive, particularly in the north, against Russian forces. Stopping short of commenting on whether this has been a turning point in the Russia-Ukraine war, Kirby added that the U.S. will continue their support for Ukraine.
