Bivalent COVID-19 vaccines will likely start to replace current boosters: Peterborough Public Health

If you are over the age of 70, a long-term care resident, a healthcare worker, an Indigenous person, an immunocompromised or pregnant individual over the age of 18 – a new type of COVID-19 vaccine is now available to you.
As of Sept. 12, Ontarians can now book and receive Moderna’s bivalent vaccine which specifically targets the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
The province says this is one of many tools to keep people out of hospitals, but some may still have some questions.
