Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed the order-in-council and the proclamation for the accession of King Charles III in the presence of Governor General Mary Simon at Rideau Hall on Saturday. Charles automatically became King after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday at age 96.
