Queen Elizabeth death: Brian Mulroney recalls fond memories, achievements of late monarch

In a Global News exclusive on Thursday, Mercedes Stephenson spoke with former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney about his relationship with Queen Elizabeth II, after the longest-serving British monarch and Canadian head of state died at the age of 96 earlier that day. He recalled how they first met shortly after he was sworn in as prime minister and reflected on her legacy and achievements throughout her lifetime. “She was the glue that held the whole thing together,” Mulroney said.
