European Union suspends visa facilitation agreement with Russia amid Ukraine invasion

The European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell announced on Tuesday that the bloc would suspend its visa facilitation agreement with Russia, making it more difficult for Russians to get visas. He also said the EU would not recognize passports issued “in the occupied territories of Ukraine.”
