Victoria School Board issues apology for 1922 segregation

The Greater Victoria School Board apologized Monday for a dark chapter in the city’s history where Chinese children were excluded from the public school system. The racist policy did not work and prompted a protest movement, which brought the Chinese community together. Kylie Stanton has more on the effort to make amends for a historic wrong.
