Six people have died climbing the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano in Russia’s far east and six more were believed to be stranded on Sunday, after severe winds forced authorities to abandon a rescue attempt. “The stormy wind prevented the helicopter from landing. So, we were forced to retreat,” rescue official Igor Sesterov said.
