Fleming students preparing for heated competition at FireFit Championships in Calgary

If running up multiple flights of stairs while carrying heavy weights sounds like a workout, you’re not wrong , but it’s also a requirement for firefighters in emergency situations.
A competition being held in Calgary next week is combining fitness with practical skills these men and women use regularly on the job.
A group of Fleming pre service fire fighter students will be competing at the FireFit Championships from Sept. 7-11.
