Pakistan floods: High commissioner says country facing ‘very, very hard time’ as over 1,100 dead

Zaheer Janjua, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Canada, spoke Tuesday about the ongoing “unprecedented” floods hitting his country, saying they were facing a “very, very hard time” with more than 1,100 people killed and over 3,500 people injured. He also said the United Nations had launched its flood response plan, which would raise $160.3 million for the country.
