Manitoba’s Health Minister Audrey Gordon spoke Thursday about a $500,000 project that will look at enhancing three parks in the city’s Transcona neighbourhood. The three parks include Southland Park, Kildonan Meadows Park and Kern Park. The province plans to add new playgrounds to Kildonan Meadows Park and Kern Park. Gordon says the province hopes these spaces will give families a place to gather and stay active.
