Speaking at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting on Wednesday, under-secretary general Rosemary DiCarlo said the council is “concerned” by reports that the Russian Federation and affiliated armed groups in the Dontesk region are planning to try Ukrainian prisoners of war in a “so-called international tribunal” in Mariupol, Ukraine. DiCarlo warmed that all tribunals must respect international laws for all prisoners of war.
