A 40-metre super yacht sank on Saturday in the Gulf of Squillace, about 16 km off the coast of Catanzaro, Italy. The vessel, flying the Cayman Island flag but with an Italian crew, was sailing from Gallipoli to Milazzo. The Crotone Coast Guard coordinated rescue efforts to save the people on board, but could not save the yacht.
