The Taliban marked a year in power on Monday with celebrations by the group’s fighters and leaders, as Afghanistan struggles with rising poverty, drought and malnutrition. “We had experienced big differences within one year, especially in terms of economics,” student Homa Nazari said. “And apart from this, education is another aspect which has been badly affected.”
