Of the more than 99,000 monkeypox vaccines supplied to provinces and territories, more than 50,000 people have been vaccinated – about 50 per cent of supply used – Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said on Friday. She said that number comes as Canada surpassed 1,000 cases, with 511 found in Ontario and another 426 in Quebec as of Aug. 10.
