Toronto’s downtown core, near the waterfront and hospital row, was impacted by a power outage on Thursday afternoon, with Hydro One saying it was investigating an issue affecting power to Toronto Hydro and its downtown customers. Those at Yonge-Dundas Square were also left in the dark. Hydro One said later it was investigating reports a barge carrying a crane came into contact with high-voltage transmission lines in the Port Lands area.
