U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a press conference on Wednesday for the first time since her visit to the self-ruled island last week, addressing the rising tensions between China and Taiwan. “We will not allow China to isolate Taiwan,” Pelosi said, giving an example of the World Health Organization (WHO). “They may keep them from going there, but they’re not going to keep us from going to Taiwan. We will not allow them to.”
