U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday during a joint media availability with South Africa’s foreign minister that Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine “is not just an aggression against another country,” but is an attack on the “foundational principles of the international system.” He said allowing Russia to bully Ukraine would be “open season” for any larger country looking to take over a smaller one.
