The World Health Organization (WHO) provided an update on the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday with Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus remarking that “although the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over, we’re in a very different situation than we were a year ago. COVID-19 deaths have been increasing for the last five weeks and several countries are reporting increasing trends in hospitalizations,” he said.
